Labor and Employment Associate Attorney

A law firm is seeking a dedicated Labor and Employment Associate Attorney to join their Los Angeles, CA office. The candidate will work closely with the office's established team of litigators and a robust client base, providing significant opportunities for growth and advancement. The ideal candidate should have a preference for labor and employment litigation experience, particularly in wage and hour matters, though general civil litigation experience is also welcome.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Represent clients in labor and employment litigation, including wage and hour disputes, discrimination, harassment, and wrongful termination cases.
• Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, pleadings, and other legal documents.
• Participate in all phases of litigation including discovery, depositions, trial preparation, and court appearances.
• Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on a variety of labor and employment issues.
• Develop and maintain client relationships through effective communication and service.
• Assist in the development and implementation of employment policies and procedures for clients.
• Stay current with developments in labor and employment law and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to ensure high-quality and efficient legal services.

Requirements

• Admitted to the California Bar.
• 1-10 years of experience in a law firm or in-house setting.
• Preference for candidates with labor and employment litigation experience, especially in wage and hour matters; general civil litigation experience is also welcome.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications
