Duties:

  • Client Intake & Initial Consultation:

    • Build trust with clients, demonstrating empathy and understanding of their situations.
    • Collect and document vital facts concerning liability, damages, and coverage.
    • Set clear client and office action items to strategically move cases forward.
  • Investigation & Case Building:

    • Lead thorough investigations to strengthen cases for trial.
    • Assess insurance coverage and gather key evidence to support claims.
  • Negotiation & Settlement:

    • Aggressively negotiate with insurance adjusters to secure favorable settlements.
    • Evaluate case potential and Full Settlement Value, while preparing for trial when necessary.
    • Maintain positive relationships with adjusters and manage negotiations efficiently.
  • Litigation:

    • Prepare and draft pleadings, discovery requests, and other litigation documents.
    • Strategize and manage the trial preparation process, including mediation and arbitration.
  • General Responsibilities:

    • Timely review and approval of correspondence and legal documents prepared by the support team.
    • Foster effective teamwork to ensure cases progress smoothly and efficiently through the legal process.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active Bar license in good standing in the state of Ohio.
  • Proven track record of managing cases from intake to resolution.
  • Strong negotiation and litigation skills, with the ability to think strategically and act decisively.
  • Excellent communication and client service skills.
  • Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in Ohio.
