Job Overview:

A prestigious law firm located in Salem, MA, is seeking a Senior Litigation Associate with a strong background in fiduciary litigation. The ideal candidate will join a dynamic team specializing in probate and trust litigation, where they will represent both fiduciaries and beneficiaries. This role requires a minimum of five years of experience in complex litigation matters, with a preference for candidates experienced in fiduciary-related legal matters.

Duties:

  • Lead and participate in team meetings and strategy sessions.
  • Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and paralegals.
  • Manage regular client communications to provide updates and advice.
  • Conduct depositions and witness interviews, ensuring thorough preparation.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of discovery requests and responses.
  • Provide a final review of all discovery documentation.
  • Prepare and organize for trials, including motions, exhibits, and witness coordination.
  • Appear in court for hearings, pretrial conferences, and trials.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in litigation, with preference for fiduciary or trust and estate litigation experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel).
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate strong time management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
  • Strong writing, research, and analytical abilities.
  • Experience with Clio or similar case management software is a plus.
  • Ability to supervise and guide junior attorneys and paralegals.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Valid Bar license to practice law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in Massachusetts (Required).
