Job Overview:

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and analysis on energy and environmental regulatory issues.
• Draft legal memoranda, pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Represent clients in administrative proceedings and hearings before regulatory agencies.
• Assist in advising clients on compliance with environmental regulations and energy policies.
• Participate in negotiations and settlements with regulatory bodies and opposing parties.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments affecting energy and environmental law.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on complex cases and transactions.
• Provide general support to partners and senior associates as needed.

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of litigation experience, preferably with a focus on energy and environmental law.
• Strong academic credentials from an accredited law school.
• Exceptional oral and written advocacy skills.
• Admission to the South Carolina State Bar in good standing.
• Ability to handle a high volume of work independently and efficiently.
• Prior experience with regulatory agencies and administrative proceedings is advantageous.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the South Carolina State Bar.
