Litigation Attorney - Habitability Law

Job Overview:
A well-established law firm is seeking a highly skilled Litigation Attorney to join its Habitability Department. This position is ideal for a plaintiff-side litigator with experience in personal injury, habitability, or landlord/tenant disputes. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to advocate for tenants' rights and provide legal services to underserved communities within a dynamic and collaborative legal team.

Location:

• Burbank, CA

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and draft briefs, pleadings, and motions

• Prepare legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and client correspondence

• Advise clients on case strategies and legal options to achieve favorable outcomes

• Oversee and mentor paralegals, law clerks, and administrative staff

• Develop case strategies and solutions tailored to client needs

Requirements:

• Active bar membership

• Minimum of 1-2 years of litigation experience in a law firm

• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to manage multiple cases independently

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active membership in the California State Bar

Skills:

• Litigation experience, particularly in personal injury, habitability, or landlord/tenant disputes

• Strong research and writing skills for legal documents and motions

• Ability to develop and execute case strategies

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Leadership capabilities to mentor and guide junior staff
