A respected Columbia, South Carolina law firm seeks a dedicated and experienced Personal Injury Litigation Attorney. This position involves handling complex personal injury cases, preparing cases for trial, and advocating for clients to ensure they achieve the best possible outcome.

Duties

• Engage with clients, demonstrating empathy and professionalism to build trust and confidence
• Maintain regular client updates and communication with insurance companies on case progress, demands, and settlement discussions
• Assess and prepare cases thoroughly for trial, including first-chair representation when required
• Conduct evaluations of claims and develop case strategies
• Handle negotiations effectively to achieve favorable outcomes for clients
• Work collaboratively within a team while maintaining the ability to work independently

Requirements

• A Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Minimum of 6+ years of litigation experience
• Documented experience as a first-chair trial attorney
• An active member of the South Carolina Bar, in good standing
• Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish preferred but not mandatory
• Proven record in assessing and valuing claims
• Exceptional negotiation capabilities
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• A proactive mindset and problem-solving orientation
• Capacity to work autonomously within an office setting
• A cooperative, team-based approach

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited institution

Certifications

• Must be a licensed attorney in the state of South Carolina and good standing with the Bar
