Litigation Attorney

A law firm seeks a seasoned litigation attorney to oversee its litigation practice in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. The ideal candidate will be highly detail-oriented, a skilled writer, and capable of independently managing cases from initiation to conclusion. This role involves representing clients in real estate and business litigation, with an emphasis on commercial and residential matters. Duties

• Manage a diverse caseload from inception through trial, ensuring all deadlines and requirements are met.
• Provide legal counsel and representation in commercial and residential real estate disputes, including foreclosures.
• Handle general business representation for local and regional companies, focusing on civil litigation matters.
• Prepare and file necessary legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and discovery materials.
• Engage in settlement negotiations, mediation, and trial preparation when needed.
• Ensure that clients receive timely updates on case progress and changes in case strategy.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy in all written communication and documentation.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in civil litigation.
• Strong ability to manage cases autonomously, with excellent organizational skills.
• Experience in real estate and business litigation preferred, though not required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small, collaborative team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on precision and clarity.
• Strong attention to detail, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Must be licensed to practice in New Hampshire and/or Massachusetts.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership in the New Hampshire and/or Massachusetts Bar (required).

• Ability to draft clear and concise legal documents.
• Strong litigation skills, with experience in case preparation, depositions, and courtroom proceedings.
