Job Overview:

Duties:

  • Represent tribes, tribal entities, and tribal members in legal matters involving tribal sovereignty, gaming, and self-determination.
  • Manage and litigate complex commercial and construction disputes.
  • Participate in trials, depositions, hearings, and oral arguments.
  • Provide legal counsel and analysis on administrative law issues.
  • Draft motions, legal briefs, and other court filings.
  • Conduct legal research and provide strategic insights to senior attorneys and clients.
  • Maintain a high level of organization in managing multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and clients to develop case strategies and resolve issues.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of litigation experience or strong interest in Federal Indian Law.
  • Trial, deposition, hearing, and oral argument experience is highly preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple cases.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on legal writing and analysis.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and interact with clients.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction(s).

Skills:

  • Strong research, writing, and analytical abilities.
  • Knowledge of Federal Indian Law and administrative law.
  • Proven ability to manage complex litigation cases.
