Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in New York City seeks a driven Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team. The role involves managing and advancing complex legal matters, maintaining high ethical standards, and contributing to business development efforts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Handle multiple commercial litigation matters from inception to conclusion.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, and trials.
• Communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and stakeholders.
• Manage client relationships and ensure excellent client service.
• Maintain billing requirements to support firm profitability.
• Contribute to business development through individual and collaborative efforts.
• Adhere to the highest ethical standards of the legal profession.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Preferably a graduate of a Top 25 law school or top 10% of graduating class; membership on a premier law journal is advantageous.
• Licensed to practice law and in good standing in the state of New York; must meet applicable license renewal and CLE requirements.
• 2 years of experience as a licensed attorney at a law firm or judicial clerkship experience.
