Duties

  • Manage a pre-litigation caseload with efficiency and attention to detail
  • Support litigation teams with overflow work and project-based assignments as needed
  • Engage with prospective clients to evaluate potential personal injury claims and provide legal guidance
  • Draft, review, and modify correspondence, demand letters, claims, subpoenas, and legal memoranda
  • Communicate with clients, expert and supporting witnesses, insurance adjusters, and medical providers to collect necessary case information
  • Negotiate agreements with insurance claims adjusters and, when suitable, settle cases on clients' behalf
  • Conduct legal research on case law, premises liability, and related matters
  • Gather and organize relevant case evidence, including insurance policies, medical records, and medical expenses
  • Maintain accurate and updated case file statuses in the firm’s electronic case management system

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of civil litigation experience, preferably in personal injury or related fields
  • Ability to handle pre-litigation caseload independently and provide support on litigation matters
  • Strong organizational skills to manage complex case details and documentation

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law in the State of Colorado

Skills

  • Excellent research, writing, and analytical abilities
  • Strong advocacy and negotiation skills, particularly with insurance adjusters
  • Proficient in case management systems and electronic documentation
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills for client and professional interaction
