Job Overview: A prominent law firm is looking to hire a Junior to Mid-Level Insurance Coverage Litigation Associate Attorney in Kansas City. The firm is seeking an individual with 2-4 years of litigation experience, particularly in insurance coverage litigation. Duties:

• Perform legal research and draft memoranda.
• Prepare complex case evaluations, pleadings, motions, and other litigation-related documents.
• Manage all aspects of litigation from the case's initiation through trial and appeals where applicable.
• Conduct discovery processes, including document review, written discovery, and depositions.
• Collaborate with clients, witnesses, experts, and opposing counsel.
• Analyze insurance coverage and extra-contractual disputes; prepare coverage opinions and other related documents.

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of experience in litigation, with a focus on insurance coverage.
• Strong legal research, writing, and case management skills.
• Direct experience handling clients and adversaries with excellent oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to work efficiently and independently, while also collaborating with colleagues and clients.
• Federal District Court or Appellate clerkship experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of PFAS (polyfluoroalkyl substances) litigation is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active law license in the State of Missouri, in good standing.

Certifications:

• Must be licensed to practice law in Missouri.
