Job Overview: A reputable law firm based in Tampa, FL is seeking a skilled Immigration Attorney to join its team. This role will involve representing clients in a wide range of immigration matters, including asylum (affirmative and defensive), family-based petitions, and more. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in immigration law and a passion for serving diverse communities.

Duties:

• Represent clients in asylum cases, both affirmative and defensive
• Manage family-based immigration petitions, including spouse and family reunification cases
• Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on immigration-related matters
• Prepare and file applications, petitions, and motions with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and other immigration authorities
• Appear in immigration court and handle hearings, interviews, and proceedings
• Ensure compliance with immigration regulations and laws
• Maintain detailed records of case progress and client interactions

Requirements:

• 1 year of experience practicing immigration law
• Strong knowledge of U.S. immigration laws, including asylum and family petitions
• Ability to represent clients in various immigration proceedings
• Proficient in case management and legal documentation
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a legal team

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active Bar License in any U.S. state (Required)

Skills:

• Bilingual in English and Spanish (Required)
• Strong legal research and analytical skills
