Duties:

  • Manage and oversee a case docket from start to finish, handling complex litigation matters.
  • Cultivate existing client relationships and attract new clients.
  • Maintain and independently handle all assigned cases, ensuring regular communication of case progress to the practice group leader.
  • Collaborate with the firm’s team on assigned cases, ensuring effective cooperation and communication.
  • Provide exceptional legal services to clients, ensuring the highest level of professionalism and attention to detail.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from a nationally accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice law in the state of Ohio.
  • Admission to practice law in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.
  • Minimum of 7 years of general litigation experience, preferably in business litigation.
  • Strong research, legal writing, and document review skills.
  • Practical experience with depositions, oral arguments, and court appearances.
  • Ability to identify legal risks and propose alternative solutions to mitigate them.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to independently manage cases.
  • Entrepreneurial-minded with a proactive approach toward developing new client relationships.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues.

Education:

  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Ohio Bar.
  • Admission to practice before the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.

Skills:

  • Expertise in business litigation and legal research.
  • Strong legal writing and document review skills.
