A law firm in San Diego, CA is seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney to join their Plaintiffs Personal Injury team. The ideal candidate will possess strong computer, typing, organizational, communication, and writing skills. This role involves handling case files from start to finish, maintaining regular communication with clients, and managing all aspects of personal injury lawsuits. The candidate should be a team player with a J.D. degree, state license, and State Bar Association membership, along with at least 2 years of litigation and trial experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage personal injury case files from inception through resolution.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and addressing inquiries.
  • Handle all aspects of personal injury lawsuits, including written discovery, pleadings, depositions, motions, briefs, mediations, and trial.
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
  • Negotiate settlements and represent clients during mediations and in court.
  • Perform legal administrative tasks and ensure effective document management.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop and execute legal strategies.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of litigation and trial experience, preferably in personal injury law.
  • Strong computer, typing, organizational, communication, telephone, and writing skills.
  • Proven excellence in legal administrative tasks and document management.
  • Ability to handle negotiations, drafting, research, and all aspects of lawsuits.
  • Must be a team player, dependable, and punctual.
  • Familiarity with Plaintiffs Personal Injury Law is essential.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • State License to practice law.
  • Membership in the State Bar Association.
