Job Overview:
A reputable business law firm specializing in trial and appellate litigation is seeking an Associate Attorney to join their civil litigation practice. The position offers a hybrid work environment, providing flexibility with a focus on personal injury, general liability, and business litigation. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of civil litigation experience, strong academic credentials, excellent analytical and writing skills, and membership in the Oregon State Bar.

Location:

Duties:

  • Handle personal injury, general liability, and business litigation cases.
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Represent clients in court, including trial preparation and participation.
  • Manage caseloads and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Provide regular communication and updates to clients regarding case status.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal teams to develop case strategies.
  • Assist in all aspects of civil litigation from inception to resolution.

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of civil litigation experience.
  • Membership in the Oregon State Bar.
  • Strong academic record and demonstrated analytical skills.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and work independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Oregon (Oregon State Bar membership).

Skills:

  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Effective client communication and relationship management.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience with personal injury, general liability, and business litigation is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
