Location:

Duties:

  • Handle litigation matters related to real property issues, including enforcement of property restrictions, contract disputes, and construction defects
  • Manage diverse case loads, including drafting complaints, discovery, witness preparation, and taking or defending depositions
  • Conduct motion practice, trial preparation, and trial representation
  • Advise clients on case status and provide regular updates
  • Chair client corporate meetings and manage client relationships
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of assigned cases and independently handle matters from inception to conclusion
  • Manage high project loads with administrative staff support
  • Perform appellate work as needed
  • Participate in client meetings during business hours, evenings, and weekends as necessary

Requirements:

  • Admitted to practice law in Ohio
  • 5+ years of relevant litigation experience in real estate, corporate, or contract law, or representing governmental organizations in civil litigation
  • Strong work ethic, demonstrated dedication, and a history of hard work
  • Experience using Microsoft operating systems and other sophisticated software
  • Ability to manage a high caseload and administrative staff
  • Proficient in all phases of litigation, including drafting pleadings, discovery, trial preparation, and trial conduct
  • Excellent personal and communication skills

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Ohio Bar admission

Skills:

  • Strong litigation and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage diverse caseloads independently
  • Proficient in legal research, writing, and case management
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
