Job Overview: A respected law firm seeks a Transactional Labor & Employment Associate with a minimum of 3 years of employment counseling experience. This non-litigation role focuses on advising employers across various aspects of the employment relationship and providing employment-related support during mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions. The position requires maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with the utmost discretion.

Duties:

  • Provide employment-related advice and counsel during mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.
  • Advise a diverse client base on employment matters, including compliance, employee relations, and policy development.
  • Collaborate with corporate teams to address employment issues in transactional settings.
  • Maintain and protect confidential and sensitive information in line with firm policies.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of employment counseling experience with a focus on transactional and compliance work.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations applicable to corporate transactions.
  • Experience advising clients on complex employment issues within a corporate environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar membership in the relevant jurisdiction or eligibility for timely admission aligned with office location.

Skills:

  • Expertise in employment law with an emphasis on non-litigation counseling and corporate transactions.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to provide strategic guidance to clients on employment issues.
