A leading law firm in New York is actively seeking a Real Estate Transactional Attorney with 6+ years of experience to join their growing practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling a wide range of real estate transactions, including acquisition, development, financing, leasing, and management of retail, office, multifamily, and industrial assets. This position offers significant responsibility and client interaction, with the opportunity to work independently and manage complex transactions. Candidates with a portable book of business and growth potential are highly encouraged to apply.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in real estate transactions, including acquisition, development, financing, leasing, and property management.
  • Draft and negotiate legal documents such as purchase agreements, leases, and financing documents.
  • Provide legal counsel on a variety of real estate matters involving retail, office, multifamily, and industrial properties.
  • Collaborate with clients, real estate developers, financial institutions, and other stakeholders to close deals successfully.
  • Manage multiple real estate transactions concurrently, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Handle due diligence, title reviews, and other transaction-related tasks.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, providing them with strategic advice and updates on ongoing transactions.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6+ years of experience in real estate transactional law.
  • Strong experience in New York real estate market preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage real estate transactions independently.
  • Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
  • Experience in handling retail, office, multifamily, and industrial assets.
  • Portable book of business with growth potential is preferred.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar membership in the State of New York (required).

Skills:

  • Strong legal research, writing, and document drafting abilities.
  • Ability to manage and close complex real estate transactions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for client interaction.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary: $195,000 - $215,000 per year, based on experience.
