Manage civil litigation matters involving:
Contract disputes
Business litigation
Construction law
Trade secret issues
Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses
Attend and argue motions, hearings, and court proceedings
Take and defend depositions
Prepare for trials, including drafting trial briefs, exhibit lists, and witness outlines
Represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, and settlement discussions
Maintain ongoing communication with clients and provide strategic legal advice
Collaborate with the legal team to develop case strategies and manage deadlines
2–3 years of experience in civil litigation (law firm experience preferred)
Admitted to the Illinois Bar and in good standing
Ability to manage multiple cases independently and efficiently
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to client service
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced litigation environment
Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school
Active Illinois Bar admission (required)
Exceptional legal research and writing
Strong verbal advocacy and courtroom presence
Effective negotiation and interpersonal skills
Proficiency with case management and legal research tools
Ability to develop innovative legal arguments and strategies
Team-oriented with the ability to also work independently
