Duties

  • Manage civil litigation matters involving:

    • Contract disputes

    • Business litigation

    • Construction law

    • Trade secret issues

  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses

  • Attend and argue motions, hearings, and court proceedings

  • Take and defend depositions

  • Prepare for trials, including drafting trial briefs, exhibit lists, and witness outlines

  • Represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, and settlement discussions

  • Maintain ongoing communication with clients and provide strategic legal advice

  • Collaborate with the legal team to develop case strategies and manage deadlines

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of experience in civil litigation (law firm experience preferred)

  • Admitted to the Illinois Bar and in good standing

  • Ability to manage multiple cases independently and efficiently

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to client service

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced litigation environment

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active Illinois Bar admission (required)
