A law firm in Minneapolis is seeking a Health Care Associate Attorney with 4-6 years of experience in health care transactional and regulatory counseling. The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in health care issues and trends, along with a background in legal issues related to provider health care organizations. Exceptional oral communication, writing, research, and analytical skills are required, along with the ability to take ownership of projects, work effectively within a team, and communicate directly with clients and third-party advisors. Admission to the Minnesota Bar and outstanding academic credentials are necessary, with a Master's in Public Health, Health Administration, or a related graduate degree desired.

 

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel to health care provider organizations on regulatory compliance, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, fraud and abuse laws, HIPAA, and state privacy laws.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on health care laws and regulations.
  • Draft and review contracts, agreements, and other legal documents pertaining to health care transactions.
  • Assist clients with transactional matters involving health care organizations.
  • Communicate directly with clients and third-party advisors to provide legal advice and guidance.

 

Requirements:

  • Admission to the Minnesota Bar.
  • 4-6 years of experience in health care transactional and regulatory counseling.
  • Strong interest in health care issues and trends.
  • Exceptional oral communication, writing, research, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and take ownership of projects.
  • Outstanding academic credentials from an accredited law school.
  • Master's in Public Health, Health Administration, or related graduate degree desired.

 

Education:

JD from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the Minnesota Bar.
