Duties:

  • Provide clear explanations of immigration laws and offer strategic solutions to clients.
  • Represent detained and non-detained individuals in removal proceedings before Immigration Courts and the Board of Immigration Appeals.
  • Oversee a caseload and manage interactions with clients throughout the legal process.
  • Conduct intake and consultations with detained individuals at centers.
  • Prepare and file diverse immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based petitions.
  • Review and revise immigration applications and legal packets for accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutors, and community organizations on immigration law updates.
  • Consult with potential clients to assess their cases and develop legal strategies.
  • Prepare clients and witnesses for court appearances and testimony before USCIS.
  • Conduct legal analyses to identify potential case benefits.
  • Draft and submit legal briefs for various immigration cases.

Requirements:

  • 1-4 years of experience in immigration law.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate with team members and work effectively with clients.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Proven track record of advancing legal cases and managing caseloads.
  • Familiarity with family-based petitions, humanitarian relief, EOIR, detained cases, citizenship applications, and other USCIS matters.
  • Experience with case management software is a plus.

Education:

  • Law degree and admission to practice law in good standing.
