Litigation Counsel

Job Overview:

A well-established law firm, seeks a bilingual litigation counsel to handle a variety of commercial, regulatory, and employment litigation matters. The firm supports a diverse range of legal issues, including food and beverage regulations, torts, intellectual property disputes, labor matters, and more. The ideal candidate will have 2-6 years of experience and be fluent in Spanish. Location:

• Los Angeles, California

Duties:

• Litigate commercial, regulatory, and employment matters independently, with minimal supervision.
• Conduct legal research and write motions/briefs.
• Interview witnesses, conduct investigations, and respond to discovery requests.
• Take and defend depositions, mediate, negotiate, and participate in arbitrations and trials as a first or second chair.
• Counsel operating companies on legal matters, including torts, contracts, intellectual property, food and beverage regulations, and labor disputes.
• Build and maintain close relationships with clients, advising them on risks and legal rights while offering innovative solutions to business challenges.

Requirements:

• 2-6 years of experience in litigation, preferably with a top-tier U.S. law firm.
• Fluent in Spanish (required).
• Strong analytical, organizational, verbal, and written skills.
• Ability to provide proactive, effective legal representation in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Member in good standing of the California State Bar.
• Ability to handle a diverse array of legal matters and collaborate in a team-oriented environment.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Member in good standing of the California State Bar (required).

Skills:

• Fluency in Spanish (required).
• Litigation experience, including handling commercial, regulatory, and employment matters.
• Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-moving environment.
• Effective negotiation and arbitration skills.
