Litigation Attorney

A law firm seeks an experienced Litigation Attorney to join their team in Tustin, CA. This is a full-time, permanent position with the potential for a hybrid work arrangement. The ideal candidate will have 2-5+ years of experience in probate, family law, or civil litigation, with a strong focus on motion work and discovery. The firm is looking for a dedicated individual who thrives in a collaborative and supportive environment, enjoys working closely with clients, and is eager to take on new challenges in litigation.

Duties

• Collaborate with firm attorneys to manage cases from start to finish, including drafting pleadings, discovery, and motions.
• Prepare and file legal documents such as motions, responses, memorandums, and discovery requests.
• Attend litigation-related events such as depositions, court hearings, and conferences.
• Guide clients through the legal process, providing clear communication and updates throughout the case.
• Represent clients in court hearings and assist in trial preparation.

Requirements

• 2-5+ years of experience in probate, family law, or civil litigation.
• Strong experience with drafting motions and responding to discovery.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and MacOS.
• Working knowledge of Clio and Lawyaw is preferred.
• Experience handling court hearings and trials is required.
• Strong ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Positive attitude and strong communication skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active attorney's license in California.

Skills

• Legal drafting and research (motions, pleadings, discovery).
• Experience with litigation procedures and trial preparation.
• Strong technical skills in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
• Familiarity with Clio and Lawyaw preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
