Duties

  • Navigate legal frameworks surrounding property transactions for energy infrastructure projects

  • Advise on land use agreements, including acquisitions, leases, and easements

  • Review and resolve complex title insurance and survey issues

  • Draft and negotiate real estate contracts, letters of intent, and ancillary transactional documents

  • Oversee curative work on title encumbrances and manage resolution strategies

  • Interface with title companies and surveyors to finalize documentation

  • Provide guidance on-site control for utility-scale renewable developments

  • Collaborate with internal legal teams and clients to advance project milestones

  • Support due diligence efforts in multi-jurisdictional real estate transactions

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of experience handling real estate transactions, preferably in a law firm environment

  • Demonstrated proficiency with title review and title insurance processes

  • Familiarity with site control issues and legal requirements for renewable energy development

  • Ability to independently manage real estate matters with minimal supervision

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills

  • Proven attention to detail and capacity to manage multiple matters concurrently

  • Licensed to practice law in the State of California

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active and good-standing membership with the California Bar
