Plaintiff Appellate Attorney

A law firm seeks a skilled and driven Plaintiff Appellate Attorney to join their team in Boca Raton, FL. This position offers the opportunity to handle appellate cases involving a variety of personal injury and property damage matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in appellate law, excellent legal research and writing abilities, and a passion for representing plaintiffs. The role includes drafting briefs, presenting oral arguments, and working closely with trial attorneys to guide legal strategies.

Duties:

• Manage all aspects of appellate cases, including drafting legal briefs, presenting oral arguments, and handling motions.
• Provide on-site legal trial support, working with trial attorneys during court proceedings.
• Collaborate with legal teams to review and refine motions and responses, such as summary judgment and post-judgment motions.
• Conduct in-depth legal research to analyze complex legal issues and build strong appellate arguments.
• Develop and implement litigation strategies in coordination with trial attorneys.
• Write clear, compelling, and well-supported legal memoranda and briefs.
• Represent clients in oral arguments before state and federal appellate courts.
• Stay informed on developments in appellate law and legal trends.
• Mentor junior attorneys and legal staff, and guide on legal research and appellate advocacy.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the Florida Bar and in good standing.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in appellate litigation, preferably representing plaintiffs.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.
• Exceptional oral advocacy experience, including arguing cases before appellate courts.
• Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment.
• High ethical standards and a commitment to client advocacy.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership with the Florida Bar in good standing.
