  • Conduct legal research and analysis on tax matters.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, and correspondence.
  • Communicate with clients, government agencies, and opposing counsel.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and other professionals on tax matters.
  • Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • 0-5 years of experience in tax controversy.
  • Practical experience with tax audits, appeals, and litigation.
  • Knowledge of substantive federal income tax issues.
  • Degree in accounting, CPA license, or LL.M. in Tax (helpful).
  • Excellent academic and employment credentials.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Admission to practice law in at least one state (Texas is a plus).

 

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Degree in accounting, CPA license, or LL.M. in Tax (helpful).

 

Certifications:

  • Admission to practice law in at least one state.
  • CPA license (helpful).
