Location:

Duties:

  • Represent clients in IP litigation matters, focusing on patent disputes.
  • Prepare and argue motions, including for summary judgment and claim construction.
  • Handle litigation strategy, discovery, and deposition preparation.
  • Assist with PTAB (Patent Trial and Appeal Board) disputes, as needed.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and client communications.
  • Research and analyze legal issues in intellectual property and patent law.
  • Draft legal briefs, memoranda, and motions.
  • Support business development efforts, including client pitches and presentations.

Requirements:

  • Admission to the California State Bar or eligibility for admission.
  • Experience in IP or patent litigation.
  • Familiarity with PTAB disputes is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and writing skills.
  • Ability to manage complex legal issues in a fast-paced environment.

Education:

  • J.D. from a top-tier law school (Class years 2019–2022 preferred).
  • Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the California State Bar (or eligibility for admission).

Skills:

  • Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Proficiency in handling complex litigation matters, including motions and depositions.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze technical subject matter.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience with PTAB matters is highly desirable.
