Job Overview:
A law firm seeks a skilled Attorney with 2 to 7 years of litigation experience to join its team in Texas, offering the flexibility of a remote position. This full-time role focuses on handling product liability cases in mass torts from the initial filing through to trial. The ideal candidate will have strong legal research and writing capabilities, along with a solid understanding of civil procedure. As a member of a collaborative team, the Attorney will work closely with seasoned litigators and contribute to strategic case management while defending client interests in high-stakes legal matters.

Duties:

  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other complex legal documents.
  • Assess case strategies and provide legal recommendations.
  • Assist in preparing for depositions, hearings, and trials.
  • Defend clients during depositions and represent them in motion arguments.
  • Manage case timelines, ensuring compliance with deadlines and effective case progression.
  • Perform other related duties as required to support ongoing litigation efforts.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in Texas with a clean standing.
  • Minimum of 2-7 years of litigation experience, particularly in mass torts or product liability cases (preferred).
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Professional demeanor, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Proven ability to manage complex litigation and strategize case plans.

Education:

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admitted to practice law in Texas.

Skills:

  • Legal research and drafting expertise.
  • Strong writing skills, particularly in creating complex legal documents and motions.
  • Organizational skills with attention to detail and case management.
  • Effective communication skills for both oral and written advocacy.
