Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct client intake meetings, build rapport, and gather all necessary facts related to liability, damages, and insurance coverage.
  • Lead investigations to strengthen cases for trial, including evaluating insurance policies and obtaining crucial evidence.
  • Prepare cases for trial and determine appropriate Full Settlement Values.
  • Negotiate with adjusters and opposing counsel, ensuring strategic and aggressive negotiation for favorable outcomes.
  • File lawsuits when settlement is not an option and guide clients through the litigation process.
  • Draft legal pleadings and discovery documents, and prepare for trial, mediation, or arbitration.
  • Review and approve team-generated correspondence and documents.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth, efficient progression of cases through the firm’s process.
  • Maintain a client satisfaction rate of 95% through attentive, empathetic, and professional service.
  • Aim to generate $1.5 million in attorney fees annually.

Requirements:

  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to engage in settlement discussions effectively.
  • Familiarity with trial preparation, litigation, and case management.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for client interaction and collaboration with team members.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases concurrently with attention to detail and deadlines.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active State Bar membership in good standing.

Certifications:

  • License to practice law in the state of Texas.

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to think strategically and provide creative legal solutions.
  • Exceptional negotiation and client management abilities.
