Job Duties:

  • Lead and manage a diverse range of workers' compensation defense cases from inception through resolution.
  • Develop and implement effective case strategies in collaboration with clients and team members.
  • Mentor associates, providing guidance and support for their professional development within the practice area.
  • Engage in business development activities to cultivate new client relationships and maintain existing ones.
  • Stay informed of legislative changes, judicial rulings, and industry trends impacting workers' compensation law.
  • Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and other dispute resolution proceedings with exceptional advocacy skills.
  • Contribute to the firm's thought leadership through seminars, articles, and participation in professional organizations.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Bar admission in the State of Florida.
  • 5+ years of experience focused on workers' compensation defense.
  • Proven track record of handling complex litigation and achieving successful case outcomes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to mentor junior associates and collaborate effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
