Workers' Compensation Defense Partner

A law firm in Fort Lauderdale, FL, specializing in workers' compensation defense seeks an experienced Partner to lead and manage complex litigation cases. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in defending clients in workers' compensation matters, providing strategic counsel, and contributing to the firm's growth through mentorship and business development activities.

Job Duties:

• Lead and manage a diverse range of workers' compensation defense cases from inception through resolution.
• Develop and implement effective case strategies in collaboration with clients and team members.
• Mentor associates, providing guidance and support for their professional development within the practice area.
• Engage in business development activities to cultivate new client relationships and maintain existing ones.
• Stay informed of legislative changes, judicial rulings, and industry trends impacting workers' compensation law.
• Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and other dispute resolution proceedings with exceptional advocacy skills.
• Contribute to the firm's thought leadership through seminars, articles, and participation in professional organizations.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Bar admission in the State of Florida.
• 5+ years of experience focused on workers' compensation defense.
• Proven track record of handling complex litigation and achieving successful case outcomes.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to mentor junior associates and collaborate effectively with clients and colleagues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
