Job Overview: A law firm in Austin, TX, is seeking a Mid-Level Private Equity Associate Attorney to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in advising private equity firms and their portfolio companies in complex transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, and general corporate matters.

Job Duties:

  • Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
  • Produce high-quality deliverables, answer phone calls, and respond to correspondence promptly.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of work products while meeting deadlines and expectations.
  • Cultivate positive work relationships and collaborate effectively within the firm.
  • Adhere to all firm policies and practices, always maintaining professional integrity.
  • Engage in physical and sedentary activities, including extended computer work and virtual meetings.
  • Perform additional duties, tasks, or projects as assigned by senior attorneys or partners.

Requirements:

  • JD degree from an accredited law school.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience advising private equity firms in complex transactions.
  • Experience in mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, and equity investments preferred.
  • Previous experience in an AmLaw 100 law firm or SEC setting is highly desirable.
  • Admission to practice law in Texas (TX).
