Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience

A law firm located in Uniondale, NY, is seeking an Associate Attorney to work collaboratively with senior litigators in developing litigation strategies for medical malpractice defense. The ideal candidate will be responsible for drafting and reviewing pleadings, conducting legal research, analyzing medical records, representing clients in court, participating in depositions, and interacting with medical experts. This role requires strong legal research, writing, and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and engage with clients.

Duties:

• Collaborate with senior litigators to develop litigation strategies for medical malpractice defense.
• Draft and review pleadings, discovery, memos, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Analyze medical records to support defense strategies.
• Represent clients in court proceedings.
• Participate in depositions, conferences, hearings, and all aspects of medical malpractice litigation.
• Interact with medical experts to gather essential insights.
• Conduct legal and medical research and analysis to support cases.
• Draft legal motions and related documents.
• Work cooperatively with colleagues to ensure effective defense strategies.
• Engage directly with clients to provide legal counsel.

Requirements:

• Admission to practice in New York.
