Senior Litigation Attorney for Scottsdale Office

Job Overview: A law firm seeks a highly skilled and experienced Senior Litigation Attorney to join its dynamic team. This role requires a deep understanding of civil litigation across a variety of practice areas, with a preference for candidates with bankruptcy experience. The ideal candidate will have 10 to 15+ years of experience in all phases of litigation, including contract, real estate, tort, and commercial matters. A portable book of business is highly desirable, but not required. The position also involves mentoring junior attorneys and contributing to a collaborative and professional work environment.

Location:

Duties:

• Lead and manage a wide array of civil litigation cases, including contract disputes, real estate, torts, and commercial matters.
• Handle all phases of litigation, from pre-litigation counseling to trial and post-trial motions.
• Provide legal advice and representation in complex litigation matters.
• Mentor and support junior attorneys in the firm, helping them develop their skills and legal knowledge.
• Manage client relationships, providing excellent service and maintaining strong communication.
• Represent clients in appellate or federal court, if applicable.
• Draft legal documents such as motions, pleadings, discovery requests, and settlement agreements.
• Engage in business development efforts to expand the firm’s client base and retain existing clients.

Requirements:

• 10 to 15+ years of experience in civil litigation.
• Bankruptcy experience is a plus.
• A portable book of business is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of contract, real estate, tort, and commercial litigation.
• Proven ability to manage complex cases and all aspects of litigation.
• Experience mentoring and supervising junior attorneys.
• Strong legal writing, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience with appellate or federal court proceedings is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Bar license in the state of Arizona.
