Associate Attorney needed for Astoria office

Location:

Duties:

• Represent clients in construction law-related litigation, including general contractors, subcontractors, and developers
• Handle commercial litigation matters from inception to resolution
• Review, draft, and negotiate AIA contracts and Mechanic's Lien documentation
• Provide legal counsel on various construction-related matters
• Participate in transactional matters related to construction law
• Collaborate with experienced attorneys in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Prepare and present cases in court, hearings, and mediations

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in litigation, with a focus on construction law
• Experience representing general contractors, sub-contractors, owners, developers, architects, and engineers
• Strong background in drafting and negotiating AIA contracts and handling Mechanic's Liens
• Ability to handle a diverse caseload in a fast-paced environment
• Relocation to Astoria, NY required before the start date

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in New York
