Job Overview:

A law firm in Spokane, WA, is seeking a highly motivated Associate Litigation Attorney with 1-5 years of litigation experience. The selected candidate will collaborate with partners, associates, staff, and clients in a busy litigation practice handling cases in both federal and state courts. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a growing regional tort and commercial litigation practice, working independently and contributing to the firm's success.

Duties:

• Collaborate with senior attorneys on litigation cases in federal and state courts.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents such as briefs, motions, and pleadings.
• Develop effective strategies for a wide range of litigation matters.
• Interact with clients, colleagues, and court personnel professionally and promptly.
• Manage multiple cases simultaneously while adhering to strict deadlines.
• Participate in hearings, trials, and negotiations to advocate for clients.
• Assist in shaping and expanding the firm’s litigation practice.

Requirements:

• 1-5 years of experience in litigation.
• Active membership with the Washington State Bar.
• Candidates awaiting Bar admission after recently sitting for the Washington Bar exam may be considered.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Washington Bar License (Required).

Skills:

• Strong writing skills for drafting and reviewing legal documents.
• Proficiency in conducting legal research using tools like Lexis/Nexis.
• Excellent analytical skills to evaluate complex legal issues.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
