Trial Attorney

Job Overview:

A leading law firm in Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Trial Attorney to join their Wage & Hour Class Action department. The role involves representing clients in complex class action cases related to employee misclassification, overtime wage violations, time-shaving, and failure to provide rest and meal breaks. Duties:

• Lead trials and conduct depositions in wage and hour class action cases.
• Review and prepare pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Develop legal strategies aimed at resolving cases favorably and cost-effectively for clients.
• Present arguments and represent clients in wage and hour disputes.
• Collaborate with partners, associates, paralegals, and legal assistants to ensure case success.

Requirements:

• Active license and good standing with the California State Bar.
• At least 5 years of experience in employment class action litigation and trial work.
• Superior analytical and legal research skills.
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced legal environment.
• Strong negotiation, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment in complex situations.
• Attention to detail and adaptability to evolving case demands.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.

Skills:

• Expertise in employment law, particularly class action litigation.
• Strong legal research, writing, and argumentation skills.
