A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its dynamic insurance defense and business litigation practice. This position involves managing a variety of complex legal matters across multiple areas, including premises liability, transportation claims, utility litigation, catastrophic loss cases, and more. The role offers a hybrid work model after comprehensive training at the firm’s Southern New Jersey office.

Duties

• Represent clients in insurance defense and self-insured matters across diverse legal areas such as:
  • Premises liability
  • Transportation and utility litigation
  • Catastrophic loss cases
  • Dram shop liability
  • Negligent security
  • Construction defects
  • Umbrella/excess coverage matters
• Conduct case preparation, including drafting pleadings, discovery, motions, and trial preparation.
• Attend depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials.
• Collaborate with team members and clients to develop legal strategies tailored to each case.
• Ensure timely and effective communication with clients regarding case progress.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in insurance defense litigation.
• Strong knowledge of insurance defense practices and procedures.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Proficiency in handling cases independently and collaboratively.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar (required).
• Admission to the New Jersey Bar (required).
