A law firm seeks an enthusiastic and dedicated Associate Attorney to join their team in Miami, FL. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in civil litigation, including commercial, real estate, probate, and family law matters. This role will involve a variety of legal work, including legal research, preparing pleadings, attending mediation, and supporting trial preparation. Bilingual candidates (English and Spanish) with a passion for serving clients and managing a diverse caseload are highly encouraged to apply.

Duties:

  • Manage various types of civil litigation, including commercial, real estate, probate, and family law cases.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents such as pleadings, discovery requests, and motions.
  • Attend mediations, hearings, and trials, providing support to senior attorneys.
  • Handle construction litigation, complex commercial disputes, and bankruptcy matters.
  • Keep clients informed about case developments and manage communication throughout the legal process.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and foster effective working relationships.
  • Prioritize and organize a large volume of cases while maintaining deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

  • At least one year of civil litigation experience.
  • Must be admitted to the Southern District of Florida.
  • Must be versed in Family Law matters.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • A self-starter with a high level of motivation and enthusiasm.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a busy office setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in Florida.
  • Admission to the Southern District of Florida.

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Familiarity with civil litigation procedures and case management.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and client relationship management skills.
