Duties:

  • Lead the Estate Planning, Trust, Estate Administration, Elder Law, Guardianship, and Special Needs Planning practices.
  • Manage and collaborate with your team to provide effective, efficient, and timely legal solutions to clients.
  • Engage in business development with support from the firm’s client acquisition program.
  • Participate in firm leadership, sharing your insights and contributing to firm strategy and growth.
  • Mentor and guide junior attorneys and support staff, promoting a culture of growth and development within the firm.
  • Stay current on changes in estate planning laws, regulations, and best practices to ensure the firm provides cutting-edge legal solutions and compliance.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.), LL.M. is a plus.
  • Admission to the Maryland Bar (additional admissions in surrounding states is a plus).
  • Minimum 6 years of experience.
  • Strong leadership qualities and a demonstrated track record of success in practice.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple responsibilities concurrently.

Education:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school (LL.M. preferred but not required).

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Maryland State Bar (admission to additional states is a plus).

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of estate planning, trust and estate administration, elder law, and related fields.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
