Personal Injury Litigation Attorney

Job Overview: A distinguished law firm is seeking a seasoned attorney to join its team, focusing on plaintiff’s personal injury litigation, including cases related to negligence and child victim advocacy. This position is full-time and based in Melville, NY. The attorney will be responsible for managing a caseload with some supervision and will work on complex legal matters with a strong commitment to achieving the best results for clients.

Duties:

• Manage and handle a personal injury litigation caseload from inception to completion.
• Draft legal documents such as complaints, bills of particulars, and discovery responses/demands.
• Conduct and participate in depositions, ensuring thorough preparation and strategy execution.
• Review and analyze medical records relevant to ongoing cases.
• Regularly communicate with clients, opposing counsel, insurance carriers, and the court.
• Assist in Child Victims Act litigation, as needed.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and provide case updates and recommendations.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in plaintiff's personal injury litigation.
• Proficiency in drafting legal documents, conducting depositions, and reviewing medical records.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Courtroom experience preferred but not mandatory.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Must be admitted to the New York State Bar.
