Of Counsel Employment Litigation

Job Overview: An established law firm is seeking an experienced Employment Litigation Of Counsel attorney for its San Francisco office. This role involves defending employers in complex litigation and providing legal counsel on a range of labor and employment matters. The successful candidate will have extensive experience managing litigation cases, offering strategic legal advice, and representing clients in courts and before administrative agencies. Duties:

• Defend employers in lawsuits involving employment-related claims, including discrimination, harassment, wage-and-hour, and non-compete cases
• Provide legal advice, counsel, and training on employment and labor law matters
• Represent clients in court, arbitration, administrative hearings, and mediations
• Handle class/collective actions and PAGA cases (preferred but not required)
• Lead litigation cases from inception to resolution, serving as first-chair counsel
• Collaborate with associates and paralegals, delegating tasks and providing mentorship and feedback

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials
• At least 9 years of employment litigation experience, including substantial first-chair trial experience
• Active member of the California Bar in good standing
• Supervisory experience managing legal teams and delegating work effectively
• Knowledge of state and federal employment law and agency procedures
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and project management abilities

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active California State Bar membership

• Advanced litigation skills, including trial and case management
• Proficient in legal research, writing, and case analysis
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple cases
