A law firm in San Diego, CA, is seeking a dedicated Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in probate litigation matters, possess outstanding research and writing skills, and be proficient in preparing pleadings, propounding and responding to discovery, and taking depositions.

Duties:

  • Conduct thorough legal research and provide detailed legal analysis.
  • Prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Propound and respond to discovery requests.
  • Take and defend depositions.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings and hearings.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on complex litigation matters.
  • Maintain organized client files and ensure all case-related documents are up-to-date.
  • Develop case strategies and provide legal counsel to clients.
  • Participate in mediation and settlement negotiations.
  • Comply with all firm policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Must have outstanding research and writing skills.
  • Experience in preparing pleadings, propounding and responding to discovery, and taking depositions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Bar admission in California (Required).
