A law firm in Dallas is seeking a Mid- to Senior-level Public Finance Associate Attorney with special district experience to join their Public Finance Group. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced attorneys and to mentor junior associates.

Duties:

  • Assist in the structuring, documentation, and execution of public finance transactions, particularly those involving special districts.
  • Draft and review financing documents, including bond resolutions, indentures, and official statements.
  • Conduct due diligence reviews and research related to public finance matters.
  • Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on compliance with federal and state securities laws.
  • Collaborate with clients, underwriters, and other parties involved in public finance transactions.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Texas Bar or eligibility for admission by waiver.
  • 4+ years of experience in public finance law, with a focus on special districts preferred.
  • Strong understanding of municipal finance, tax-exempt financing, and securities laws.
  • Excellent drafting skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under deadlines.
  • Prior experience mentoring junior associates is advantageous.
