Workers' Compensation Attorney

Duties:

• Represent clients in workers' compensation cases from initial consultation through resolution.
• Conducted legal research and prepared documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Attend hearings, depositions, and mediations on behalf of clients.
• Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and insurance companies.
• Communicate effectively and frequently with clients, opposing counsel, and all levels of management.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and records.
• Provide exceptional client service and support throughout the legal process.

Requirements:

• Active membership in the Maryland Bar is required.
• Membership in the D.C. Bar is a plus.
• 1-3 years of legal experience, focusing on workers' compensation law preferred.
• Experience with billing hours and managing client accounts.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Maryland Bar.
