Location:

• Atlantic City, NJ

Duties:

• Partner with local school boards to offer legal advice and protection
• Advise on matters such as staff relations, pupil rights, IDEA, Section 504 compliance, school construction, and contract procurement
• Conduct training sessions and attend school board meetings
• Draft contracts and legal documents for the board
• Represent school boards in litigation before New Jersey courts and various administrative agencies

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
• Admitted to the New Jersey Bar
• Minimum 1 year of legal practice in education law preferred
• Thorough knowledge of New Jersey Education laws
• Demonstrated advocacy, mediation, and interviewing skills
• Superior analytical and problem-solving abilities
