Job Overview:
A leading law firm is seeking a mid-to-senior level associate attorney to join its nationally recognized healthcare team. This position offers the opportunity to advise dynamic and innovative healthcare clients on strategic transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, and joint ventures. The ideal candidate will work closely with a team of attorneys to provide critical guidance and support on complex corporate matters within the healthcare industry.

Location:

Duties:

  • Advise clients on strategic healthcare transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, equity acquisitions, venture capital, private equity investments, and joint ventures
  • Assist clients with corporate workflows, including formations, capital raises, operational strategies, and contract negotiations
  • Collaborate with senior partners to guide clients in achieving their business goals
  • Provide insights on healthcare-specific laws and regulations that apply to corporate transactions
  • Participate in the mentorship and professional development of junior associates
  • Take ownership of projects and communicate directly with clients and third-party advisors

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of experience in mergers & acquisitions and/or private equity within the healthcare sector
  • Strong ability to manage projects, work independently, and collaborate as part of a team
  • Exceptional oral and written communication, research, and analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate directly with clients and third-party advisors
  • Admission to the state bar where the position is based

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to the state bar in the relevant jurisdiction

Skills:

  • Expertise in healthcare mergers & acquisitions and private equity transactions
  • Excellent communication, writing, and research skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Client-focused with the ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Experience with corporate and organizational matters in the healthcare industry
