Job Overview:
A prominent Gulf South-based litigation firm is actively seeking an experienced defense litigation attorney to join their team in Mobile, AL. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of 5 years of expertise in defense litigation, with preferred experience in areas such as construction defect, transportation and trucking defense, and medical malpractice. Duties:

  • Represent clients in defense litigation, including cases related to construction defects, trucking and transportation, and medical malpractice.
  • Manage and oversee case files, including preparation of legal documents, motions, and pleadings.
  • Conduct legal research and provide strategic advice to clients.
  • Coordinate discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.
  • Negotiate settlements and manage client relationships.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and other team members on complex cases.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior attorneys and support staff.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in defense litigation.
  • Proven track record of managing and resolving complex legal matters.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to handle a caseload independently while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Comfortable with a fast-paced environment and meeting deadlines.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:
