Job Overview:

A prestigious law firm based in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a dedicated Associate Immigration Attorney to join their dynamic legal team. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of immigration cases while collaborating with a team of attorneys and legal professionals. The role involves managing a caseload, representing clients in immigration courts, and advising individuals and families on immigration matters.

Duties:

• Provide legal counsel on immigration matters and develop strategic solutions.
• Represent clients in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals.
• Manage a diverse workload of immigration cases, including family-based and removal defense petitions.
• Conduct intakes and interviews with detained individuals at detention centers.
• Prepare and review immigration applications and legal documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Advocate on behalf of clients by preparing legal briefs and presenting cases in court.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies, prosecutorial offices, and community organizations to address immigration law changes.
• Meet with potential clients to conduct strategic consultations and determine legal strategies.
• Prepare clients and witnesses for court and USCIS testimony.
• Perform legal analysis to assess potential case benefits.

Requirements:

• Experience: 1-4 years of experience in Immigration Law.
• Language Skills: Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
• Teamwork: A collaborative team player with a willingness to assist and strategize with colleagues.
• Case Management: Proven ability to manage a caseload effectively and move cases forward.
• Specialized Knowledge: Experience in family-based petitions, humanitarian applications, EOIR cases, detained cases, citizenship, and other USCIS matters.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with case management software is preferred.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to practice law in Nevada.

Certifications:

• Active Nevada Bar membership in good standing.
