Duties:

  • Manage a caseload of civil litigation matters, including commercial disputes and other related legal issues.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery materials.
  • Prepare for and represent clients in court proceedings and during negotiations.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex litigation matters.
  • Communicate regularly with clients, providing updates and strategic legal advice.
  • Maintain accurate and organized case files and legal records.
  • Assist with trial preparation, including evidence organization and case strategy development.
  • Support the legal team with client communication, legal research, and other necessary tasks.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil litigation.
  • Admitted to the Bar in Texas.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to draft legal documents with attention to detail.
  • Experience representing clients in court and during settlement negotiations.
  • Strong legal research skills and the ability to analyze complex legal issues.
  • Ability to manage a caseload independently and efficiently.
  • Strong time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Commitment to maintaining high ethical standards in all legal work.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Texas Bar membership in good standing.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong civil litigation experience, with a focus on commercial disputes.
  • Proficient in legal research and drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs.
