A law firm in Fort Wayne is seeking a motivated Litigation Associate Attorney with 2-6 years of experience in various areas such as business/corporate litigation, banking litigation, contract disputes, arbitration, mediation, medical malpractice defense, or general litigation. The ideal candidate should possess excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills and demonstrate the energy, drive, and desire to excel in a robust legal practice. Membership in and good standing with the Indiana State Bar is required.

 

Duties:

  • Represent clients in civil litigation matters, including but not limited to business/corporate litigation, banking litigation, contract disputes, arbitration, mediation, and medical malpractice defense.
  • Draft legal documents, including complaints, motions, briefs, and pleadings.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on complex legal issues.
  • Prepare for and participate in hearings, depositions, and trials.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop case strategies and solutions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.

 

Requirements:

  • Membership in and good standing with the Indiana State Bar.
  • 2-6 years of experience in relevant areas of litigation.
  • Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills.
  • Energy, drive, and desire to work in a robust legal practice.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment with attention to detail.
  • Strong advocacy and negotiation skills.
  • Familiarity with court procedures and rules of evidence.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Membership in the Indiana State Bar.
